Criminal Investigation
The Criminal Investigation Division of the Cleburne County Sheriff's Office, under the supervision of Lieutenant Jeff Bittle , consists of one Detective Lieutenant and three full time Detectives that investigate and process all crimes that that occur within the jurisdiction of the Cleburne County Sheriff's Office. Duties of the investigators include the following:
- Investigating crimes
- Investigating missing persons
- Conducting interviews
- Follow-up investigations
- Surveillance
- Preparation of warrants
- Compiling case files
- Narcotics Investigations
One detective is responsible for Sex Offender registration and handling all matters relating to sex offenders, including:
- Sex Offender Registration
- Follow ups
- Issuance of warrants
- Locating and tracking of offenders
