Superbowl weekend results in arrests

On 2-5-2017, Cleburne County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the area of Firehouse Road for an injured person call. A female was found at the scene with a wound to her neck. The female subject said she had been injured by a male subject who was also found in the area. The female subject was taken by ambulance to the emergency room for treatment. While at the emergency room, the female said she had injured herself with the intent of blaming the male subject. After receiving treatment for her injury, the female was released from the emergency room. Deputies told the female she would be facing charges for filing a false report. The female subject then became belligerent and started cursing the deputies. She was then placed under arrest for disorderly conduct. During the arrest, the female subject began resisting arrest by physically striking the deputies. She was taken into custody and processed into the jail for the offenses of filing a false report, disorderly conduct, battery, and resisting arrest.

 

 

Also on 2-5-2017, a Cleburne County Sheriff’s Deputy observed a vehicle committing a traffic violation. The deputy conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle. Through the course of investigation, the deputy determined that the driver of the vehicle was under the influence of an intoxicant. The driver was arrested and booked into the jail for the offense of DWI. 

 

 

All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law
