Multiple arrests for drug and weapons charges

On January 1, 2017, the Sheriff’s Office took a theft report in Drasco, where several pieces of logging equipment were taken.  The value of the stolen property was approximately $5,700.  Cleburne County Detectives gained information that Wesley Armstrong was in possession of several of the stolen items.  On February 16, 2017, Detectives served a search warrant at a Hopewell residence, and recovered several of the stolen items.  Donald Moore and Sharon Moore, of Hopewell, were both arrested during the search warrant, and charged with Theft by Receiving.  Armstrong was later arrested with more of the stolen items, and also charged with Theft by Receiving.

The case is still ongoing.

 

On February 15, 2017, Investigators from the Cleburne County Sheriff’s Office and the 16th Judicial Drug Task Force conducted an undercover operation to apprehend Jeremy Lattin on drug and weapons charges, after receiving information that he was in possession of certain items.  Investigators arranged a staged meeting with Jeremy in between Heber Springs and Quitman, and conducted a traffic stop on his vehicle just prior to the arranged meeting.   Jeremy was taken into custody without incident, and investigators located several items in the vehicle.  Jeremy was booked into the Cleburne County Jail on charges of Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Use of a Communication Device, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

 

On February 14, 2017, Cleburne County Deputies responded to a domestic in the McJester Road area.  Deputies arrived on scene and made contact with the involved parties.  The victim alleged that the suspect, Patricia Shipley, threatened him with a gun, which was followed by a brief physical altercation.  During the investigation, deputies gained information that there were drugs in the house.  Detectives were notified, and a search warrant was served on the residence.  Patricia Shipley was arrested and booked into the Cleburne County Jail on charges of Aggravated Assault on a Family or Household Member, Terroristic Threatening, Manufacturing, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
