The Cleburne County Sheriff?s Office is pleased to announce the hiring of Mary Calhoun as the new Methamphetamine Grant Coordinator. We were excited about the interest in the new position, and the number of quality applicants that applied. In the end Calhoun?s background and experience in the law enforcement field, and the judicial system gave her the edge. 2008 was a very productive year for our narcotics division and we hope to be even more productive in 2009. We will be offering more methamphetamine awareness and prevention programs in 2009, than in the past. We are also pleased to announce that Dr. Mary Holly (founder of Mothers Against Methamphetamine, www.mamasite.net) will be returning to Cleburne County and giving drug awareness presentations at all of the public schools in Cleburne County as well as a community based program that will be open to the public. More information will be available when the dates and times are finalized.
