Sheriff’s Office fundraiser proceeds donated to local non-profits

The Sheriff’s Office participated in No-Shave November this year to raise money for two local non-profit organizations, The Other Side and The Call.  During the month of November, deputies, jailers, and employees were allowed to grow a beard in exchange for a $20 donation.  At the end of the month, the money was totaled up to be split between the two organizations.  On January 4th, 2018, representatives from The Other Side and The Call came to the Sheriff’s Office and were each presented with their half of the proceeds.  The total raised was $120, so each organization was given $60.

Even though we didn’t raise much money this year, we are hopeful that this fundraiser will continue to grow in the coming years.  We are grateful for what The Other Side and The Call do for our community, and are excited about the opportunity to support them in any way we can.
