2017 in review - Year end totals

Listed below are some relative stats and information for the Cleburne County Sheriff’s Office for the year of 2017.

In 2017, Cleburne County Sheriff’s Deputies:

Wrote 360 traffic citations and 632 criminal citations for a total of 992 citations written.

Served 847 misdemeanor warrants.

Made 768 total arrests.

Took 1,300 reports.

Served 863 civil papers.

Recovered over $438,000 worth of stolen property.

Seized over $1.1 million worth of illegal drugs.

Provided security and support for the courts.

Worked alongside the Park Ranger’s in providing a law enforcement presence in our parks around the lake.

Answered numerous calls of service for welfare checks, civil standby’s, property/security checks, DHS assist calls, medical standby’s, suspicious persons calls, suspicious vehicle calls, alarm calls, assist a citizen calls, and animal welfare calls, along with logging thousands of miles on patrol and making numerous traffic stops.

Completed many hours of continuing education and participated in various training exercises.

Along with all the law enforcement action that was taken, the sheriff’s office also implemented a Jail Ministry Program and participated in community events such as the Torch Run for Special Olympics, Springfest, Ozark Trail Fest, and several county parades. 

We will continue to work hard for Cleburne County in 2018!
