Sheriff's Office Announces Deputy/Jailer of the Year

12/07/2018

Four times each year, the Sheriff’s Office recognizes a Deputy/Jailer of the Quarter for their outstanding work performance over the previous three months.  The recipient is often recommended by supervisors or administrative staff, and presented with a framed certificate.  But at the end of the year, the Sheriff’s Office recognizes a Deputy of the Year, and a Jailer of the Year.  What is unique about this award is that the recipients are selected by their peers.  All employees are given a vote on who they believe should receive the honor and title of Deputy or Jailer of the Year.  The awards were handed out on November 30th at the Sheriff’s Office Christmas Party.  We are proud to announce Jailer of the Year Jennifer Chapman, and Deputy of the Year Lieutenant Jeff Bittle!  Their hard work and dedication over the last year has been a shining example to all those around them, and we are grateful for the work they do on a daily basis.  Please join me in congratulating Jeff and Jennifer!
