You're Invited! 5th Annual LE Memorial Ceremony

05/04/2022

May 4, 2022

Dear Sir/Madam:

In 1962, President Kennedy proclaimed May 15 as National Law Enforcement Memorial Day, and set aside that week to be recognized as National Police Week.  This year, Police Week runs from May 15th through May 21st.  In cities all across the country, Law Enforcement Agencies will conduct ceremonies during Police Week to honor those officers that have paid the ultimate sacrifice.  In keeping with that tradition, and in honor of all those brave men and women that died in the line of duty, the Cleburne County Sheriff's Office will be holding our 5th annual law enforcement memorial ceremony on Tuesday, May 17th at 12pm.  There ceremony will take place on the North lawn of the Old Courthouse on Main Street in Heber Springs.

As of today, there have been 101 Line-of-Duty-Deaths in 2022.  We are grateful to every one of these officers for their brave service and sacrifice; may they rest in peace, and may we continue in their absence.

This year we are proud to announce that former US District Attorney Cody Hiland will be our guest speaker, and we hope that you are able to join us in honoring our fallen brothers and sisters.

Sincerely,

Sheriff Chris Brown
