Mark Allen Peeler, a 44 year old male, was booked into the Cleburne County Detention Center late in the afternoon, Friday, September 30th, charged with one count of Rape, a Class Y Felony.

Peeler, who lives in Heber Springs, was arrested based on the results of the investigation of a report made to the Child Abuse Hotline earlier Friday afternoon. The report contained allegations of multiple incidents in both the County and in the City of Heber Springs.

The initial charge of Rape was filed by Detective Chris Brown of the Sheriff’s Office, however both The Sheriff’s Office and the City of Heber Springs Police Department are continuing the investigation and additional charges may be forthcoming.

Bond for Peeler at this time is $100,000.
